G+_Jeff Willsea
I know I'm doing something stupid and I need somebody to point it out. I've got a strip of WS2812B 60-LED (1 meter in length). I cannot get them to power all to white. Obviously I cannot do it through the Arduino. I've tried doing it through a 5V 2.1Amp power supply (via a USB hub). The power then would go into a breadboard - where the LED's and the Arduino be powered off of that same breadboard (so the only wire leading from the Arduino to the LED's would be the data wire). The best I can get is a solid pinkish (slight orange) color. 2.1Amp's should be enough - right? Like I said - I'm missing something. Any help is appreciated. G+_Dan Hockey
I think all leds would be on if you are trying to do white, which means it would be drawing the max for amperage(check the specs). You may need to have separate power supplies for the leds and Arduino with a common ground.
G+_Arcturus Lancaster
My math has 3600ma at full draw. 20ma per colour per package. Set brightness to 50% and ffffff for colour will be closest to white you get in that config
