Closed Beta update 0.6.0

 

Apologies, It been a while since we pushed out a beta update. We hope some of the features that we have implemented in this update makes up for the long wait.

 

Change log:

1.Implemented drive detection: Drvr will now automatically start and stop drive data collection when it detects when you start and finish your drive. 

 

2.Automatic uploads: Drvr will automatically upload drive data to our server when you have finished your drive.

 

3.Backing up drive data: Drvr will now backup drive data on our server to save space on our drivers devices. 

 

4.Implemented reminders: You can now set reminders for checking tyre pressure, Insurance and Vehicle inspection. There can be found in the My Car screen.

 

5.UI redesign: Redesigned the user interface on several screens. This is still a work in progress and we would love to hear your opinion on the new UI. 

 

6.Sliding menu a.k.a Navigation drawer: Implemented sliding menu (complete with fancy menu bars to back arrow animation) for easier navigation around the app.   

 

7.Driver score: Once you have driven for 300Km (190 miles) you will unlock your driver score. Your drive score will update every 150 km (95 miles).

 

Known issues:

1.The accuracy of detecting Drive event (Hard braking, hard acceleration) ranges from accurate to not accurate, we are working on fine tuning this over the course of the closed beta program. 

 

2.Drive detection is not 100% accurate. We will be improving it over the course of the closed beta program.

 

3.Some users have reported battery drain issues. To help us identify if this is an issue, if you feel that the app is draining your battery excessively, please let us know. A screenshot of the battery usage screen and the battery usage graph (and if you are one of the lucky few to have Android 5.0 on your device a project Volt screenshot) would be appreciated.
