G+_Bostjan Cadej
DD-WRT supported router I'm buying a device (wireless router/ wireless switch) with -> gigabit ports, -> N wireless support and ->dd-wrt support. What is the cheapest? Thanks for suggestions.
G+_Bostjan Cadej
This list doesn’t help me (I need to go through each and every one and check the specs). http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices
G+_Michael Buitendorp
Why are you going strictly by price?
G+_Bostjan Cadej
As it is stated on dd-wrt's page it is recommended more that 8 MB of flash http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices#8MB_flash__or_more And I don't need USB support on router. And perhaps in the future I'll replace antenas with stronger ones. All other it depends on software. So the (low) price is big factor.
G+_Michael Fullarton
I don't know the cost of it now but I have an Asus RT-N16 that works really well. 3 years ago it was $100, can only assume you can get it much less than that now. G+_Taylor Graham
i have an rt-n16! its beautiful. DDWRT is incredibly stable on it. It runs the mega build of ddwrt :]. They go for like 80 bucks now (crazy that the value has held like that for 3 years!). The rt-n16 is great, and has a good bit of memory (for three years ago, idk what "a lot of memory" means for routers these days), but its missing a few things. It only supports 2.4ghz, which is a bummer if you have 5ghz cards in your devices. It also only supports N. If i were paying $80 for a router nowadays, id want AC and 5ghz. Asus has some newer routers that support DDWRT, look at those.
