G+_Bostjan Cadej
Hi I have some questions about batteries and electricity. First a general question. Does it matter if I use battery with 1 V and 10 A – can I also use battery with 10 V and 1 A? Does it matter? Second question. I have 5 V battery on which it also says 700 mAh. Can I replace this battery with 5 V with 1400 mAh? Thanks for answers.
G+_Riley Plays
Yes on the second question. mAh just stands for (milliamp hours) So the more mAh the more running time.
G+_Ben Reese
1V, 10A and 10V, 1A have the same wattage but aren't necessarily interchangeable. Typically the power source will determine the voltage and the load will draw whatever amperage it needs. For example, if you have 240V service and you connect a 60W bulb then the light will draw 0.25A. If you connect the 60W bulb to 120V service, it will draw 0.5A. In both cases the service might have a 15A breaker/fuse, but the load will only use the amperage it needs.
