G+_Greg Ozimek
I want one. We all WANT ONE. The thing is, can it be justified to make Stainglass windows, (religious type) etchings on car side windows, IDs on individual propeller blades.... How quickly can you say, "review unit".? http://www.rockler.com/full-spectrum-h-series-20-x-12-desktop-co2-laser-engraver-cutter
G+_Eddie Foy
40watts, that's cute. (I'm a service engineer for CNC CO2 lasers. Mine idle at 650Watts) but yes I'd wont one. but planning to build a xy table for my plasma cutter. Good enough for me at home. But for home use I'd MUCH rather have a fiber or YAG. Then you can do copper for making PCBs. CO2 are not happy with copper. Very reflective in the 10600 nm range. Heck, the beam delivery mirrors are copper. G+_Greg Ozimek
Eddie Foy What are their power operating ranges? How heavy are they? Can you see the prices or are they stratospheric? Will this one actually etch glass, plexi, and rock as they show? "Es'plain"
G+_Eddie Foy
They run in power from 1800 to 6000watts. Heavy? They arrive on at least 2 flatbed trucks. Pricing? Seen used machine in the $50K and up range. New ~$600K+
