G+_David Bruns
Got my Raspberry Pi NAS set up with Open Media Vault, how do I create drive partitions? I want to set aside around 1 TB for backup and leave the rest for cloud storage. Thanks
G+_Seth Leedy
Well, for additional disks(not OS), try this link: blog.zensoftware.co.uk - Build your own NAS part 1: Configuring storage in OpenMediaVault/ For the OS disk, try https://forum.openmediavault.org/index.php/Thread/13746-How-to-partition-and-use-OMV-system-disk-for-user-data/
G+_Scott Dible
I'm an OMV user... Are you using one drive for the OS and the shares? Why do you want to partition?
G+_David Bruns
Scott Dible I have the OS running off a SD card. I have one drive, wanting to partition because I plan on using it for backing up my computer and also cloud storage. Wanting to do this so it makes it easier to find files. G+_Scott Dible
Why not just create two different shares on data drive? Is there some reason that you need logical partitions?
