A tip for users of YouTubeCenter in Firefox - don't use the version in the Firefox Addons store, it is several versions old and breaks YouTube.

 

The home page for YouTubeCenter is here: https://github.com/YePpHa/YouTubeCenter/wiki and has a link to download the latest version of the Firefox extension.

 

It still won't download protected videos like VeVo music videos though - anyone know to do that?

Got a Chrome tip along the same line: Since Chrome doesn't want people to use extensions they get outside the Google Chrome store, use Tampermonkey and then get the userscript version of YouTube Center.

I've never had any problems with real player downloader. http://www.real.com/resources/download-video/

Thanks for that. Firefox 34.0.5 was acting up and crashing, and I was forced to use Chrome. I disabled YouTube Center, and am back in business.
