This is a different kind of know how project, but it inwolves the same type of thinking that allows you to play with stuff that plugs in. And besides... a geek is a geek is a geek.

This was my big project for this year... all done with my own two inexperienced hands. I decided to do it, because I think that every (even an aspiring) geek should live in a nice environment. The project involved a lot of Internet research, and  lot of if this then that stuff. I'm pretty content with the result.

Now, when I get all worked up about something on the Internet, or when I need a break from gaming, I have somewhere nice to go and sit... and yes, the wifi reaches in all the corners of the patio :D

Finally...

It has been done. I finished my patio remodeling project and I breathe a sigh of relief. Some of the plants are very small yet, but in a year or two they will bulk up to almost hide the fence on both sides.

The Fatsia Japonica( it's that thing between the urn and the calla lilly), the fig tree, the big hydrangeas and the choisia will be almost as big as that bamboo bush at the back that I decided to keep.

Also, if things go right, the honeysuckle and the Italian star jasmine will climb up that fence and thrive.
