G+_All About Android
Another great collection of apps to vote on! Which was your favorite from episode 198? LokLok: Connected Lock Screen https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.loklok Hotel My Phone https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.pplconnect.hmp Camera FV-5 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flavionet.android.camera.pro Battery Percent Enabler https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.kroegerama.android4batpercent
G+_Adam Williams
Great episode! This would make a fantastic regular cast of hosts.
G+_Michael Atkinson
TBH this is a first. Don't like any of them. :)
G+_Adam Williams
Michael Atkinson How can you not like a battery percentage!? Or an app that does something and then let's you uninstall it, heh. Hotel My Phone looked too good to be true, not sure I can trust it. Myriam Joire was on to something with that one. LokLok looks fun but I typically bypass my lockscreen with SkipLock and bluetooth devices. Camera FV-5 would be nice if I ever get lollipop... G+_Arthur Rodriguez
Wow. great arena AAA!! I Bought Myriam's app. I'm running Battery Percent Enabler and I voted for Lok Lok!! Ron's app was a little too crazy for me.
G+_Timothy Roche
Great arena
G+_Dean Householder
I'm confused. Every Android phone I've owned you can enable the battery percentage in the Settings->Display->Show battery percentage. Do you guys really need Battery Percent Enabler because you don't have this option? Just wondering.
G+_Marc S
Really good apps this week. Not sure about Hotel My Phone though.
G+_Anthony Kelly
I'm voting Battery Percent Enabler for now as it's an insta-install on any device that I touch That said, Camera FV-5 looks great, so there's a chance that I'll change my vote before the week is out Still missing Gina Trapani???, but I did enjoy listening to Myriam Joire?? this week. Any chance you can get her back more often? ?Actually the whole cast was great this week
G+_Con Diamantis
LG G3 doesnt need , Battery Percent Enabler :) - http://www.androidcentral.com/sites/androidcentral.com/files/styles/large_wm_brw/public/article_images/2014/08/LG-G3-Sprint-Battery.jpg
G+_Con Diamantis
Dean Householder It looks like nexus rom doesn't have the option.
G+_Tim Feeley
I saw a lot of host potential from the two guests. I was worried that the show wouldn't have the right chemistry without Gina, but this was a great episode. Hopefully Gina can make an appearance soon. G+_Tim Benson
Battery percent is great but my Samsung phone has the option built in. Really like loklok, fun with just my wife in the group
G+_Jenviev Azzolin
Hotel My Phone takes it for me! Thanks for reviewing it!
G+_Jenviev Azzolin
Im one of the co-founders, we came up with the idea after living so many moments of panic from forgetting our phone or having your battery die! Its so simple, a no brainer. If there are any questions for the team, feel free to ask!
G+_Jimmy Scott
I have had the battery percent enabler on my Nexus 4 for quite a while and wouldn't be without it. I did not know I could uninstall if I needed the room for something though, thank you for pointing that out!
G+_Greg Roworth (choppiii)
I like all the apps, I'd like to vote for all of them but I can't so maybe I should vote for none of them, cause then it'd be the same.... Loved this weeks podcast, definate perminate host potential in Myriam Joire? and Michael Crider?, great work all, very entertaining....
G+_Kevin McInerney
Hotel My Phone is interesting but ... I've never borrowed someon'e's phone to make a call. And I've let someone else make a call on my phone exactly once. So, not essential for me.
G+_Andrew Carvalho
LokLok looks very cool. It could take the place of IM and photo sharing apps with just 1 other person or a group. I can imagine friends very quickly finding ways to embarrass you. I'd try this with my wife ... if she didn't have an ... iPhone ... Agree on the guest hosts being great. Would love to see Captain2Phones on AAA some time.
G+_Brian Veditz
Dean Householder If I recall, the percentage feature that most phones have just adds percentage along with the battery, so it takes up two spaces on the status bar.. this just integrates the percentage into the battery icon. G+_Josh Frye
I will have to think about this, none of the apps this time really appealed to me.
G+_Kirk Corless
There were four great apps, though hotel my phone is a little creepy NSA. I'm going with battery percent enabler.
G+_Nihir Morzaria
One of the best arenas in recent memory. All four apps would have won in most other arenas. I think Lok Lok is my personal favourite. It's implemented beautifully and is genuinely unique. Hotel My Phone started as peopleconnect. It shows promise, but the terminology is awkward and confusing. Otherwise it's such a useful idea. ? The battery percentage is cool, however other apps do similar things. For example, Battery Widget Reborn. Still, a great way to accomplish a simple tweak.
G+_Shawn Kurschner
Battery Widget Reborn puts the % in the top of my phone, and saves my battery.
