G+_Nolan Taylor
Hi all. I have a question concerning limiting internet access to PC apps at certain times of day. I have some software that uses a high amount of bandwidth. What I would like to do is limit that apps internet access at certain times in the day. Is there some sort of app that would do this for me or is this kind of thing not possible?

G+_Nolan Taylor
That would limit internet to the whole won't it? I want to be able to still use the internet on that PC but limit one apps access to internet.
G+_Steven Atkinson
If this is for home use then something like the Sophos home edition may fit the bill. https://www.sophos.com/en-us/products/free-tools/sophos-utm-home-edition.aspx
G+_Steven Atkinson
Smoothwall Express may also work for you. http://www.smoothwall.org/ Both of my suggestions would need you to find a PC with at least two NIC's. One for your internal LAN and one for your external WAN connection. This solution is open source so available to home and business users. If you have money to spend then there are plenty of different firewalls that offer application firewalls rather than the traditional port based firewalls. Though they are not likely to be cheap. G+_Keith Mallett
I was going to suggest the same thing as Steven, the Sophos UTM.
