G+_Cristian Villamarin
Flipd should of won this, It usually takes 40 seconds for the lock screen to reactivate after you restart your phone and if your device admin is activated. Thanks for sharing anyways!
G+_Ron Richards
UPDATE on Flipd from the Flipd folks: "it IS supposed to Flip Off again if you restart your phone. We're looking into it. ;)" https://twitter.com/Flipd_app/status/611262129606254592
G+_Rob Phelps
Ron Richards , i think the point is missed, wither or not the phone unlocked if you restarted. The way you introduced the app was that basically it help curb the want/need to use your phone for a period of time...I imagine this is the solution to help stop using the phone while driving. And so, to help with the temptation, you FLIPD your phone. My analogy is having an AA buddy. So if you can bypass the lock YOU just setup, to aid with your temptation, by restarting the phone, then you never really were trying in the first place. I think the ability to have group locks sounds like a by-product of the development of this app, or a last bit of "what else could we do with this app" from the developers. I think it a commendable app...interesting...but niche...But PORTAL...now that's everyday baby!
G+_L I
Portal is no different than transferring files in Airdroid. I was hoping that sending files would have been 2 way.
G+_Ant Pruitt
I voted for Ron, but I do like the "it solves a problem" aspect of Myriam Joire 's app rec.
G+_Daniel Paight
Voted for flipd because the others are quite useless. The Wi-Fi analyzer only picked up my roku and my router. Other such apps I've tried picked up the neighbors' routers, as well. And who needs an airdrop look-alike when everything is in the cloud? Seems to me such functionality is solidly in the 2000s. G+_Clément Roux
Dan P About Portal, I can say that I'm not using a lot because of Plex/Cloud but the use case is not the same the same. partal is for one time transfer for Offline use. It's not becaiuse you don't need thatthe service is useless. For a lot of people G+ is useles and a failure for instance, do you agree with that? G+_Daniel Paight
Clément Roux? You have a point so let me rephrase: I don't need an airdrop look-alike when everything is in the cloud. Save it to Google drive, and you're done. For this same reason I no longer use es file explorer to do sftp transfers. Cheers. ?
G+_Vinoth Ragunathan
Oh man! We need to have Myriam Joire and Josh back on the show more often. That was one good episode!!!
