G+_Kapil Agrawal
Hey AAA people, I have a question for you. In the Android market, price of a phone is a big factor when it is released. Most of the judgements of the phone really depend on what price category it belongs to. And slowly slowly we're reaching a point where we really appreciate a phone which has not so great hardware but a great price (Yes, I'm talking about the Moto X Pure Edition). This has lot of implications for the phone companies but the main thing I'm wondering is how our preferences are changing. And so, I want to know if will you more for a more premium phone. For example, if the Moto X was made of really premium materials like Nexus 6P would you pay $600 or would you prefer the current $400 phone because it is cheap? I'm fighting this question just to have an idea if Motorola is really on the right path.
G+_david mcgowan
If I wanted to pay a lot for a premium phone I'd but an apple phone, but the problem with android is the best thing about android, choice! If you want all the bells and whistles you can but also if price is your main factor you can still get a good phone.
G+_john ferris
I look at my needs first before prices. 100% of the time a $400 or less phone always meets my needs, and last more than 2 years. I'm not sure if all consumers look at it this way, but I ask.. if you are going to pay more than $400 for a phone (I'm not talking payments) then what do you really need it to do "better" than what the $400 phone does. Just my .02.
G+_david mcgowan
if you are going to pay more than $400 for a phone, I agree it has to do more, what the more is, depends on whatever itch you want to scratch. e.g. photography, wireless charging, NFC, USB C connector, fast charging or in the case of the one plus two all of the above.
