I 'm following up in the digitizing trend

I'm following up in the digitizing trend.  The big push is receipts  but there's plenty of other paper-based stuff I wanna digitize:

I'm currently looking at the scanners below, but am looking for recommendations as to which would be better, or if there are other options out there!

Notes:

1) Must be functional without a computer. (Installing additional software is fine, but it can't require that for a basic scan)

2)  Prefer something portable, ideally with rechargeable batteries.

3) Strongly prefer something that is SD card or WiFi for transfer NOT (just) USB.

Scanners I'm currently considering:

The first (and logically so) ideas were to just use my camera/cellphone.  While this makes sense, and it seems the quality is fine, this does not work for me as I have too many backup apps running on my phone/camera to risk uploading any personal/private documents I need to scan.

I frequently have to make copies of documents at various courthouses. Some want to charge $2 a document for copies. I've saved a bit of change over the last six months or so using CamScanner on my android phone. You can save the scanned docs to Dropbox or Google Drive or print from the phone if you have a network printer.

I do have the Samsung Galaxy Camera, so I'm sure the images from that will turn out half decent :p       Actually, I admit, I have no idea how image quality on that camera compares to a "standard" scanner, like the ones i'm considering.

While I do have CamScanner on it, but i'm actually somewhat concerned to use it on some documents as I have G+, Dropbox, and I'unno what else running to keep my pictures from getting lost.  It's GREAT for when you're out & about...it's not the best for personal/financial/whatnot documents >_<

I do development for a local company and end up with people who bring papers galore that I don't want to have to haul around.  That and I've been accused of not listening in meetings because I'm on an iPad(company supplied not my choice) and trying to use it for notes.  So I have to take hand written notes on paper.  I use my S2 or my iPhone(company phone) to take the image, then like Harold Crews , Camscanner to port it into Evernote where I file it away for when I need it. They look perfect and actually works well with Evernotes searching feature.

Ok, so it sounds like the image quality isn't a problem, which is good to know!

However this solution, while generic and useful, does not fully work for me as I don't currently have a spare device to use for pictures and such devices are MUCH more expensive than a scanner.

Again, the problem with my camera is that, while it runs the Scanner App, I don't want to risk uploading any personal/financial documents onto the cloud.  And there's just too many things running on my camera to risk that (again, a good thing 99% of the time).  And no i'm not going to nuke my camera every time I need to scan a personal/private/whatever document.

So, I continue my search!  Also, updating the post to reflect this.

I could offer one thing if you want to store all your reciepts on your own shared storage at home.  There is an app called "FolderSync".  It attaches to the usual cloud services but it also connects to FTP and SMB connections.  I don't want my photos from one of my devices going into Picasa/Google+ Photos, so I set them to go to a folder in Google Drive for me to sort through them and move them to where they actually need to go.  I just tried it on my network share and with the SMB it moved them from my android device to my share no problem.  All internal network, though if you used FTP I'm sure can set something up.  I'm really not a fan of carrying too many things around.
