But I'm looking at getting a smart lock for my front door.  I've never played around with any of these, but I love the idea of being able to unlock my house with my phone.

 

I'd be curious if any of you KHers have experience, if there's brands you'd recommend/avoid.

A little slower than I'd like...not always responsive. They are improving the software over time though..

If you want a DIY option, there are switchable striker plates on Amazon i think for < $30. Would need 12v to actuate and an Arduino/Pi + relay to control.
