G+_Mr ROKnBOK
I've a quadcopter problem I need help with: Anyone have an idea why this is happening... CleanFlight shows that the quadcopter is moving when it no longer is.
G+_Eddie Foy
re-calibrate? remember to save/apply before moving to any other sensors, settings, pages, etc.
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
That's drift... usually occurs when the FC isn't completely level and stable on power-up. -- Can also happen if there are strong magnetic fields nearby.
G+_Brian “Yikesfpv” Gipe
Yeah. Save every time you make a change. Sometimes it won't stick in cleanflight.
G+_Mr ROKnBOK
Thank you, gentlemen. Do I understand correctly: I should save settings, then save again (to make sure); and not worry about slight drift if I'm knowingly near possible magnetic fields (such as right beside my powered-up desktop)? G+_Travis Hershberger
Mr ROKnBOK Your computer doesn't give off much of any magnetic field, assuming it's properly enclosed. We have one of those field detectors at work and actually measured what a computer puts out, the only area with any magnetic field was behind the power supply. If it's just a slight drift, you should be able to correct it by adjusting the flight controller. Most of them have buttons beside the joystick to adjust for that.
