G+_Daniel Casciato
I am trying to determine if my Nexus 6 (XT1103) with Lollipop (6.0.1 (build: MMB29K) has MHL compatibility. A website http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=6982&view=1&c=google_nexus_6_xt1103_td-lte_64gb_motorola_shamu - shows that it has "USB Series Micro-B (Micro-USB) with MHL connector" compatibility. If this is true could you suggest a cable/adapter? Thanks - really need this to work... http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=6982&view=1&c=google_nexus_6_xt1103_td-lte_64gb_motorola_shamu

G+_Daniel Casciato
just wondering if you tried the mhl. also see talk regarding slim port which is a Google standard, think that may be an option, ever try that?
G+_Keith Walker
Oh, no. I cheated and just Googled the hell out of it. MHL is a no-go, and the Slimport stuff looks like it needs root access and playing around with the build.prop file.
G+_Daniel Casciato
Thanks for trying. Thinking of buying one off amazon which says it works. Will update my findings.
G+_Dan Trevino
why not just use chromecast?
G+_Daniel Casciato
I have chromecast and fire stick. Love "email. Problem is using them at the cabin which has no wifi. Using my phone as a hotspot is not economical (limited to 7 GB per month). Phone data is unlimited and want to stream from handset directly. I have tried the activate hotspot on another LTE handset (dummy hotspot), and then turn off LTE data on the dummy hotspot with no luck. Chromecast wants to hand off data stream to the dummy hotspot device. Miracast from Nexus 6 has been deactivated by Google. I have tried the build.prop suggested modification with no joy. G+_Keith Walker
What about AllCast? Have you tried that? It'll send anything from your phone to the Chromecast. I think you have to be rooted, but you've already done that if you're tinkering with build.props.
