G+_Gary Pietila
I have a Moto G5 & every music playing program I have downloaded has given my all kinds of artists I don't want & never sough to put on my phone. For example I Jazzy B, Hard Kaur, Evie, Jackmaster Funk,Denice motto, Dallas, Boris Badenaugh, Ash King, etc. that I never downloaded & never asked to be put on my phone but when I hook my phone up to my PC I cannot see these artist & have no way of removing them. It try to delete thme from my phone but they never are removed. I am currently using Music Player Pro, but previously used Black Player, it also added artists I have no interest in & did not let me delete them. I have my own collection of music I have downloaded onto my phone & that is all I want on my phone. Anyone know how I can get control of my phone back? At this point when I try to play an artist I put on my phone i get a blank page rather than the X number of songs it says I have. I no longer have any control of the music on my phone... I don't stream, I only want to play the content I own & have personally put on my phone.
G+_Ben Reese
Google Music can play local content - just ignore the streaming options. Or, upload all your music there and stream it. VLC can play local music - though not the greatest UI for that. Tom's Guide has a round-up of the top apps. I really just use Google Music when I want to play my music. https://www.tomsguide.com/us/pictures-story/584-best-android-music-players.html
