G+_Brian “Yikesfpv” Gipe
So what quadcopter did you learn how to fly first? I started with the Hubsan x4 flying around in my little room. lol. Good practice. Thanks guys. Love the show.
G+_Mike Meyer
My first quad was the Blade mQX. But it was about my fourth 'copter, staring with the mCX.
G+_Raymond Wishart
I just ordered a Syma x5c to learn how to fly as recommended by the Padre!
G+_Steve Prior
If you get the Syma 5C, good for you but take the camera off, along with the prop guard and landing struts (land on the smaller feet built into the motor pods). This quad can barely get off the ground with the camera attached, but when you lighten it as much as possible it's a LOT of fun. Also get a multi-pack of batteries and charger and you'll have a lot more fun.
G+_Steve Prior
The camera isn't that great anyway, so no big loss in removing it.
G+_Raymond Wishart
Ordered the extra batteries, blades and gears!
G+_Steve Prior
I've got 2 Syma X5's, have crashed them a LOT. Haven't needed to change a blade yet. I did have to change a motor, also changed motor pods (bent shaft), and the LED covers all fell off (bought new covers, but so far haven't bothered to put them on). G+_Steve Prior
Also bought a slingshot, small pink rubber ball (which I drilled a hole through) and light fishing line (tied through and around the ball) - because trees catch quadcopters. Wear safety glasses...
