RTFQ has this antenna for 5.8Ghz: http://www.readytoflyquads.com/5-8ghz-circular-polarized-antenna-rp-sma-with-sma-option

As for FC, this is where the discussion in the latest episode about PPM vs PWM comes into play. If you can readily find receivers compatible with your transmitter that support PPM then get one of those and look for flight controllers that use PPM. If not, go the PWM route.

Again, the advantage to PPM is a single wire for all communication from receiver to FC, instead of 1 per channel.

My first quad was a Flip 1.5, but I wanted to support Sbus and telemetry plus GPS and LED strip so I bought a Naze32 and OSDoge, but have since found out that this board supports those things, but not all at once. The SP3 does, but I've seen complaints about quality. So now I just heard of the Luminer LUX which is cheaper than the SP3 and seems to do all the same stuff, though I don't know whether the OSDoge will work with it. No cost answers in this hobby.
