G+_Brian “Yikesfpv” Gipe
Hey all! I have a question about the racer 150 build. I have selected a teranis x9d with a x8r reciever. Possibly a naza m lite flight controller. This is my first quadcopter build so I am quite stupid in these matters. lol. Is the naza w/ the sbus and all going to be too heavy for the build. Thinking about maybe switching to a flip 32 pro or something of the like. Thanks all.
G+_Mr covert
Naze32 based fc (flip32), d4r or x4r frsky receiver. Don't bother building a racer with a Naza.
G+_Brian “Yikesfpv” Gipe
So the x4r would be better than the x8r?
G+_Mr covert
I should of said x4r-sb. Yes it's better than a x8r in form factor. X8r has big pcb based antennas, hard to mount on a small frame. X4r-sb has little wire ones that mount nice with a medium cable tie and heatshrink. I'm not 100% sure but I think the best pilots in the world are using x4r-sb? G+_Brian “Yikesfpv” Gipe
Yeah. It can be confusing but I'be been doing a lot of research and ordered an x4r-sb. My taranis comes with the x8r but I plan on making some larger quadcopters in the future and that will come in handy. Thank you all for your help. G+_Mr covert
The x8r is great for a larger one. You can set it up for ppm out channels 9-16 for axillary outputs to control other things while you use s bus into a controller like a pixhawk :)
