G+_Brian “Yikesfpv” Gipe
OK. Quadcopter question. If I'm getting lots of vibration (oscillation), what do I need to change in the PID's?
G+_Stede Bonnett
In a place that isn't windy try flying ~2m up and start with your `I` and `D` at 0 and your `P` at maybe half it's current value... Raise your `P` until you start to see oscillating in normal maneuvers. For less ideal conditions you add in some `I` to stabilize against wind and the like. For faster response keep it minimal, for slower applications like video you can push it higher but too much will cause a different oscillation. You will almost always still oscillate doing a fast vertical decent, so don't try to tune that out. `D` can almost always be left at 0 but if you are doing ACRO a little bit it will improve your reaction speed. It interacts with the `P` value so larger P will need greater `D` change to be noticed.
G+_Brian “Yikesfpv” Gipe
Thanks Stede Bonnett ! I'll definitely have to do some more research. I'm definitely more into acro. Trying to fly as smoothly as possible
