G+_David Teles
My connection for only 25.9€ a month with phone and tv. What do you think? To get this results i need to connect the ethernet cable and in wifi i only get about 90Ms/s downs and i want better performance on wi-fi my computer is a macbook pro with ac wifi but my router is from the provider and i cannot change it because of the fiber connection. Can i just by an AC capable AP to get better performance? http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4653483588
G+_Travis Hershberger
You should be able to add another router. Ideally you could call up your ISP and have them put their router into bridge mode (so all it's doing is providing an ethernet port you can plug another router into.) If they refuse to do that for you it will still work, but will have to hassle with two routers to manage if you need to configure port forwarding. G+_Ben Reese
Yes, an AC compatible AP should help you get those speeds. There may still be other things that get in the way - like radio interference or activity on the laptop, but it will certainly get you close. 802.11N should theoretically get you >100 Mbps too, but I haven't seen it yet on mine. G+_Adam EL-Idrissi
I just wanted to say that "25" down is $45/month,web only, until my one year new customer ends. I'm jealous of that speed.
G+_Ben Reese
Adam EL-Idrissi, I'm in the Kansas City metro area but Google Fiber isn't to my town yet (<10 miles away ?). I don't know if it's related or not, but Time Warner just bumped me up to 200 / 20 for the $60ish that I've been paying. I could drop it or raise it by another 100 Mbps for $10, but I'm ok with this for now. Google Fiber will be an important feature when we get serious about moving next. G+_Adam EL-Idrissi
Ben Reese I day "25" since Comcast has sent out two letters on saying up to 50 and the newest saying up to 75. If I do a test I get 87-96 down and 5-16 up. Same $45. After my promo it'll be $70-$80 but I'll be getting Comcast business since a 300gb cap is more than annoying. G+_Adam EL-Idrissi
Ben Reese in in one of the lucky 7 states that gets that "feature". Only reason I'm going business class.
