G+_Joshua Scott
Hi thank you Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ and Bryan Burnett for the inspiration to build a #multirotor . I got the Syma 5c and have been having a lot of fun with it. My brother has the Da Vinci 3D printer so I figured I would try to build a 3D printed #quadcopter Right now I'm putting together my own Multiwii PRO version of the T4 quadcopter I found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:261145 The arms on this print seem very rigid and light. I've heard you guys mention some future projects on the show with the Da Vinci. A word of warning on this 3D printer, the heating element died halfway into the huge body print, with only 40 hours on the printer. XYZprinting has been helpful but a new element wont be here until they get his bad one. I am very impressed with this printer over all but I would suggest to do some large 10+ hr prints while your warranty is still good.
G+_Brandon Jasper
Welcome to the 3d printed quad club. I'm working on a build myself that I posted earlier. Just make sure your infill is higher on the arms as they'll experience the most stress.
G+_Joshua Scott
Thanks for the advice. This is the video that made me go with the design I'm using over the one that I think you chose made by +Brendan O You might want to check out some of his other quad designs here http://www.thingiverse.com/Brendan22/designs/page:
