G+_Midwest Concert Video
My brother is getting the very weird advice to take his Windows 8.1 laptop down to 8.0. Any reason anyone would do this?
G+_Eddie Foy
I do believe that windows 8.0 isn't supported, only 8.1 onward & 7 is. I see no reason to drop to 8.0. I can see dropping to 7. Does he have issues/problems that he can't live with?
G+_Midwest Concert Video
No, I'm my brother's computer support, and plan to try to set this one up as solidly as possible. As I said, it was weird advice, that he got from someone that I don't trust.
G+_Eddie Foy
I wouldn't trust him either. suggesting an unsupported OS isn't a good idea. vulns O' plenty these days,

G+_Midwest Concert Video
I'm perfectly happy with the 8.1 I'm setting up on his laptop. You know, if Microsoft had never done Windows 8 and Apple had introduced this interface on OSX, it would have been praised to the sky.
