G+_Midwest Concert Video
Anyone purchased the $99 7" Andriod tablet ALDI is selling? Quad core 1.6 gigahertz processor, 4.4 OS , 16 gigs of memory...
G+_Travis Hershberger
Electronics from Aldi..... Wouldn't trust it myself. If you don't mind Windows 8.1 MicroCenter has some great deals on good quality tablets http://www.microcenter.com/search/search_results.aspx?sku_list=468421+410621+410670+410605 Got a 10" for my parents this year. It performs well enough for the light usage they use computers for, the only downside is the limited onboard storage (32gb). Got a 32gb card to use with it, and with a little bit of folder redirection they don't even know their "Documents", "Pictures", etc folders really exist elsewhere. Edit: I'm not normally a fan of Windows 8.1, but it works great on a tablet.
G+_Timothy Hamlett
I agree, and I might actually use the aldi tablet for watching tv in bed.... Bigger screen than my phone, and it can be dedicated to such a purpose.
G+_Ben Reese
$99 for a 10" quad-core tablet? Not too bad. I wonder how much RAM it has... It's probably not the best hardware or experience, but probably acceptable to hand the kids.
G+_Midwest Concert Video
16 gigs accordimg to the poster. I think it also has a micro SD card slot.
G+_Midwest Concert Video
It is 7" , not 10" (considers making joke, decides not to).
G+_Jon Messenger
I would also like to know if it is decent enough to make into a Netflix tablet.
G+_Eddie Foy
the 16gigs is storage not RAM. Have a cheapo. Don't use it much, but it was ok. its fat. I like my nexus
G+_Daniel Armstrong
The problem is the 1024x600 resolution, which just like the 800x480 predecessors, is a portable DVD player panel and is NOT a 4x3 or 16x9 resolution. The 800x480 were 16x9 physical aspect ratio but not pixel aspect ratio hence non square pixels and a stretched image.
G+_Daniel Armstrong
Will someone measure the physical dimensions of the screen on one of these 1024x600 tablets and tell us if it has square pixels.
G+_Midwest Concert Video
Ah, ok. They cheaped out on the display.
G+_Ben Reese
They probably cheaped out on everything lol. RAM, processor, display, battery... Just depends on what cheap components you're willing to put up with.
