G+_kwaku bankole
Hi, Twit family. Are there any walking drones expert out there.
G+_Benjamin Webb
Had a group of my engineering friends get that as a Senior project about 7 years ago. Took 5 engineers 6 months and several thousand dollars to make something that had a 50/50 chance of falling after 3 steps. Would suggest wheels or look for something canned either purchased or open source. Imagine they have made progress in 7 years but probably still expensive to do. G+_David Wiggins
A group in Japan has one that can do push-ups for something like 30 minutes before heat fatigue sets in. Not sure how well it stands. It's humanoid, almost entirely self contained. My first thought was ' T- .0001'. Oh, it also sweats.
G+_Benjamin Webb
Yeah I think quad would be the way to go as that as how Boston Dynamics started. My friends were selected to go biped right out of the gate. My hat is off to the people who get this to work.
