G+_Thomas Fraley
I don't believe it was mentioned. What brand/model was the rear ceiling lights? Also was there any reason Tom didn't go with LED panels rather then the fluorescent's
G+_Brent Bye
The backlights behind Tom are ADJ Micro Wash WWCW LEDs. They retail for about $89 each and can be controlled remotely via DMX control signal. The Keylight is a Kino Flo Parabeam 200 with 55K tubes and can also be controlled via DMX remotely. The reason for going with Kino Parabeam over LED 1x1 litepanels or equivalent is purely based on price. The light source output area of a Parabeam is about the same as two 1x1 LED panels. The cost of a parabeam 200 is about $1000+ tubes, whereas Litepanel 1x1s are about $1600 each. There are cheaper light panels out there, but I've used many and they aren't as durable and have less accurate color shifts. Kino Flo's are industry proven for durability and are still the best bang for your buck when you consider light output per watt consumed by compact fluorescent tubes as compared to multi LED array instruments...as of 2013 that is. Who knows what innovations lay ahead...
