Hi all. I've just been to see my kids doing a show and had a fantastic time. However it has set me thinking! They didn't make an official video so I figured that's something I could offer to do next time - easy enough. I'd just make copies at cost price.

Then I also thought it's a shame the kids who are off-stage can't see what's going on when they're in the dressing rooms. So why not set up a webcam as well and stream that over local wifi? This must be really easy but as I've never done it before I figured the Know-Hole would have lots of ideas! The venue for the show was a local school, which has almost certainly got a wifi network we could use. The main limitation is I want to avoid online services, in order to avoid having to ask every parent for permission. When you're talking about 50+ kids that's a lot of parents!

All ideas / suggestions welcome. Thanks :)

I've been working on this very project for Church but I'm focusing on audio only to begin with. I've got it working creating a steam in VLC (it will do audio, video, or audio + video) and tapping into that using KODI (OpenELEC) on a Pi. I've got other things causing problems so am looking for other options, but if this is all the laptop is doing it works fine.
