G+_Nolan T
Good day everyone, This may be a tad basic for all the maker gurus around here but I needed to reclaim space on my bedside table that was being covered by my Google Home Mini. I have seen 3D printed mounts that were real pretty and they hide the cords. One problem with these is I dont have a power outlet thats not behind furniture or otherwise not easily accessible. Also...I'm cheap and I don't care about cords showing, so I was wanting to find a way to mount this on the wall. I found out the base was magnetic under the orange rubber so I have several rare earth magnets from hard drives I have taken apart ( what tinkering nerd/geek doesnt have a few dead drives that he/she have taken apart? ) I was going to screw it to the wall but I figured it would be rather tough to get the screws in with a strong ass magnet right there. So I used a Command Strip adhesive strip I had and Abra-Ca-dab-ra I got it up out of the way

G+_Chris O'Riley
Great idea. I also take those magnets and mumetal parts out of hard drives when they go bad. Those magnets are amazingly strong! I have several stuck to the walls throughout the house to hold stuff.
