G+_Roy Gangle
good morning to the know how community Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ and i have recently moved to a not so good neighborhood where there has been burglary's and a occasional shooting. i would like to set up my own home video security system. what i have now is a few USB cameras that i have bought in the past and now stored away. i soon will be getting some IP and networking cameras. what i want to know is what are some good programs that will go good with home video security. im running win 7. price is not really a issue but cheaper/free is better. i would like if they had audio and motion detection. i love the show and hate for my electronics to get stolen. then i wont be able to watch the show no longer. thanks for all your input and can never wait to see the new episodes every week p.s. i made my animated profile pic in <5mins. nothing fancy, just something i thought was cool looking. G+_610GARAGE
I use Blue Iris. It has motion detect, audio recording, and you can have it send you an email if motion is detected.
G+_Roy Gangle
Does it carry a android app?
G+_610GARAGE
Yea, but I never used it. It has a webpage that gives you access to the cameras which works fine on my phone. But I should mention that it is locally hosted, so you would need to use a vpn, or if you are brave, port forwarding to get access to it outside of your network. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blueirissoftware.blueiris
