G+_Martin Erickson
First drone will be the FPV250 build, just ordered everything but I will need to get an RC controller, any recommendations? also- the Flip flight controller has a bluetooth option under the telemetry section, is this the bluetooth Padre was referring to when he spoke of programming without a cable? G+_Ben Reese
First recommendation would be to practice with something more affordable Syma, Hubsan, etc. You'll definitely crash and something cheaper will save you a lot of money.
G+_DeWayne Shorts
Ben Reese? is right. Just like when you learned to drive. Start with something that is more forgiving. The X5 is so light that when you do crash, and you will, it rarely screws anything up.
G+_Nick Whitworth
The FlySky FS-T6 is pretty popular and is a great value for the money. ? And yes, the Bluetooth under the telemetry section is what he was talking about. It's a lot easier and faster than plugging your phone in using an OTG cable in the field when you need to make an adjustment. DEFINITELY start with a trainer like the Syma X5.
