G+_Ryan Mercovich
Safe to say the iPhone 5s has a great camera... while I wait to get the Nexus 5, I ran some numbers to compare light gathering capability and motion blur effects between these two devices (important factors for indoor snaps of moving things - I.e. my kiddo's). Short story: due to smaller entrance pupil and pixel size, Nexus 5 needs 20% more light to make the same exposure and will have ~23% more motion blur as a result. Sounds like a lot, but as an example 1/50 shutter vs 1/60 doesn't concern me much in practical application. Bottom line: Certainly a lot else goes into forming a nice image, but I have hope this Nexus device will finally have a camera that stacks up well to the toughest competition. #Nexus5
