G+_Robert Marshall
I would hope the G had KitKat already. But, at least it was done fairly quick!
G+_Garry McCaw
Robert Marshall Why would you expect a device that was released a month ago to already have Kitkat 4.4.2??
G+_Robert Marshall
4.4.0 was also KitKat Garry McCaw.
G+_Marlon Thompson
Robert Marshall let me explain why we are so impressed. Kit Kat was launched on October 31st initially only for the Nexus 5 and shortly after for the Google Experience phones and the Nexus 4 and 7. The Moto G (a budget phone) was announced on November 13th and was supposed to go on sale in the US in January but was released at the end of November with 4.3 with a promised upgrade to 4.4 in January. In less than 2 months Motorola has pushed out Kit Kat upgrades to the Moto X and the Moto G with the Droid Ultra, Maxx and Mini soon following. That's a feat no other Android OEM has been able to do. We can argue that Motorola can do it because they are owned by Google but regardless of how true that is or not it is impressive and I believe will make an impact on how the other OEM's conduct their business in 2014 and possibly affect the expectations of Android users. G+_Garry McCaw
Robert Marshall yeah correct 4.4.0 is also Kitkat. I'll rephrase the question....... Why would you expect a device that was released a month ago to already have Kitkat?
