G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Hey Know-It-Alls... First, this is ENTIRELY THEORETICAL. Take it as no more than drippings from a sleep-deprived brain. That being said: If Bryan Burnett and I were to start doing two, slightly shorter episodes of KH each week, split between DIY and Maker topics, with a single project per episode but the same basic format... would you watch? G+_Morne Smith
Sorry...I would watch both...
G+_Eddie Foy
I'd vote to drop the 'news blip' in the a segment. Enough news shows on the network.
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
I wouldn't want to do it without the blip. We get to cover stories that usually aren't covered as news.
G+_Alfred Smith
Sure, I would give it a try. Not so happy about a shorter show would love to see the show you have now a little longer so hands on projects don't feel so rushed.
G+_Jim Sauber
I would still watch. A single topic per show would make it easier to find the full set of episodes on a topic and watch them consecutively at a later time.
G+_Josh Frye
I maynot watch everyone, but like Jim Sauber said, it would make trying to find the projects I am interested in a lot easier.
G+_John Mink
I'm with Jim Sauber I very much like the idea of a single topic per show. I find that often I'll see an episode of KH which doesn't catch my eye, and then 3 weeks later (or here in chat) people are talking about an interesting topic that didn't apparently make the show notes from that episode. G+_Travis Hershberger
Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ I'm concerned about your sleep, do you ever get enough? Of course if you keep coming up with really nifty ideas while sleep deprived, maybe it's not such a bad thing?
G+_John Mink
Travis Hershberger what's sleep? :p
G+_Floyd Fernandez
I would watch? both
G+_John Phillips
One choice option not there could be "I'm a knowhow nut and i would watch whatever you guys made" :p
G+_Mikael Eidsvaag
I have to admit that I do not like drone videos. So I will watch the ones without them =)
G+_Kyle Jefcik
Shorter, more focused episodes would be better. Currently searchability and discovery suffer when you need to FF though multiple segments to find the one you wanted.
G+_Eddie Foy
Kyle Jefcik Yes. Or possible an extension of show notes, like a project notes page? As the project progresses over multiple episodes.
G+_Eddie Foy
KnowHow -hobby and KnowHow -general?
G+_Michael Heinz
Shorter, more focused episodes would make it easier to use them as reference material.
G+_Tom Kudla
I would watch both and I think more focus, would make it easier to reference them later.
G+_nickathome309
I would watch both. How about a two minute segment at the end of the episode highlighting other twit shows?
G+_Jeff Gros
Just devote one show to quad copters. That way the haters can skip that one! ;)
G+_Ben Tyger
I love to see a DYI and Maker show. My biggest is with KH right now is the over abundance of quadcopter content. If you're not in to quadcopter scene ( I'm not) then it seems like I loose 25% of a show to it on a good day or the whole show if it quadcopter based episode. I'm not saying I don't like KH. It just feels like if you're not into quadcopters, you're a second class citizen in terms of content.
G+_Eddie Foy
... Ben Tyger and thats why I say spin it off. Would give us quadders MORE content, and KH as a general maker show.
G+_Timothy Hamlett
First off, I'm thoroughly amused by the 5% "What's Know How?" Second, Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ many brilliant ideas come in the middle of the night :P
G+_Jason Perry
My vote is for whichever has more overall content. When I say that I mean overall time minus intro time minus sponsor time. No loss of content blips or otherwise. I just cant get enough.
G+_Eddie Hughes
I vote 2 shows both an hour(ish) long...
