G+_Marlon Thompson
My Android Wear diaries continues Originally shared by Marlon Thompson Tip for Android wear Developers, Simple names So there are a few different ways to open apps on Android Wear, some you say "Start" and the name of the app or what you want to do , Runkeeper is perhaps the most elegant example, as you simply say "Start running activity" or "start runkeeper" and away you go. Others when you open the app on the phone it is mirrored on the watch , and others give you the choice in the phone app to send it to the watch like allthecooks. Today however I tried out an interesting app called Attopedia, which is a mini wikipedia on your watch (its actually not as bad as an idea that I thought it would be, my follow up post will explain). Here is the problem however, you cannot open the app from your phone.so I go "Start Attopedia", and my watch goes "atto what?" The only way I can search the app is to manually select it via Android Wear's clunky interface or from the wonderful Wear mini launcher (which gets better every week) . So devs give me an easy way to start or query your app or call your app Tom or Neil.
