G+_Andrew Littler
In somewhat reply to the fan who wrote in about the cycle of phones and that rib about iPhone batteries, how about me? I ditched my iPhone for reasons not just because the battery was down to 6 hours, but my Moto X (and the S4 it replaced) get me 6 hours. On s good day, s brand new Moto X and S4 get me 6 hours of charge. I love it, I do, but I cannot find anything around the battery problem. Yes, I have a few widgets and s Bluetooth headset, but this should not cut the advertised battery into a quarter. So what am I doing wrong? Should I be expecting 2 hours of charge by the time my contract ends or am I just cursed? Any help would be welcome.
G+_Joseph Cappellino
The best way to tell is to open the battery settings and see what's on top. That should give an idea of the real power hungry apps are.
G+_Steve T
Kill notifications for apps that you don't need notifications for. Turn off auto updating of apps. Both require periodic access to check for updates and that uses battery life.
