Bryan Burnett really!? You're missing out. It plays practically everything and can stream from Windows file share, USB drives, FTP servers, webdav, etc.

I use it every Sunday to get live(ish) video from the church auditorium to the nursery and soon to other rooms in the building too.

I could go on... It's worth checking out.

I used Plex along with Kodi for media and live TV respectively. It's been a few years since I cut the cord. I recently went all in with Emby (before Plex introduced Live TV) and I'm really enjoying it. Now I have one low power box that serves as my NAS/Media Server/Live TV. I can now watch anything on any device in my home and abroad. It's much simpler and effective than my previous cobbled together solution, and all the software is now FOSS. That being said, I did pay for the lifetime Premiere membership of Emby for all the features.

I have Kodi on my android box and I use Mobdro for live TV (which I hardly ever use) after all why be tied to a TV Schedule when with Kodi you can watch most everything you want to watch when you want to watch it.Its kind of like a DVR with everything on it. and did I mention no commercials.
