G+_Cameron Bentley
So I need some help. Just got a Syma quad and it does not seem to want to lift off correctly. I synced on a level surface and when I apply thrust it will lift off but quickly flip and crash into ground. I have only been able to get the gyro to calibrate correctly 2 times out of the about 50 times I have tried. What could be the problem? Is it a bad flight controller? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Guys love the show!
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
I've got a tutorial for this that I was planning on using in late Feb... but you need it now, so... let's do it! :) 1. Put the quad on a level surface. 2. Turn on the transmitter 3. Turn on the Quad and let it go to slow-blink 4. Sync remote 5. Push BOTH sticks full down and to the right 6. The Quad will fast-flash: This means that it's recalibrating When it's done flashing, it should be set to fly! Enjoy. :)

G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Hmmm.... THAT may require a RMA. Did you get it from Amazon?

G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Hey... least I can do... I know how much it sucks to be grounded. :(
G+_Barry Brown
It couldn't be something simple like the props on the wrong motors, could it?
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Well... if it was improperly installed props, the thing would NEVER fly properly. Cameron Bentley said that it worked twice. :(
G+_Cameron Bentley
It flew correctly 2 times other 50 times it didn't. I thought of that also.
G+_Cameron Bentley
Sorry for the vertical video syndrome ? but that is the quad failing.?
G+_Barry Brown
It kind of looks like the trim is way off. Does it always go the same direction? Are your trim settings near the center?
G+_Cameron Bentley
Trim is totally centered. Tried trimming it out. Still failed. Can't trim out random gyro confusion.
G+_Barry Brown
Return it. :( If you're lucky, Amazon will say "don't bother sending it back; we'll just send a new one."
