G+_Merle C
Hi everyone I have a Prusa I3 3D printer and the heated bed decided it didn't want to work anymore. So, my question to you is what is the best bang for the buck upgrade and where is a trusted site to get these parts?
G+_Eddie Foy
MarkerFarm has my vote. 3DSystems is on my S*** list in a big way. Just looking to replace the RAMPS/Controls?
G+_Tony Martin
I also have a Prusa i3 that I built from scratch. I highly recommend the mk3 aluminum heated bed if you are just looking to replace the bed. The advantage of the aluminum bed is that it heats more evenly and there is no need for glass, just print right on the surface of the heated bed. It is also more resistant to warping which I had a problem with when I was using the regular pwb style bed. I got mine from ebay but don't remember the seller. G+_Merle C
I guess I could have been a bit more clear.. I am looking to replace the heating element and maybe the surrounding parts. Upgrading to a aluminum bed doesn't sound bad at all. I understand with time the acrylic bed can warp my y axis.
