G+_Kyle Boyington
I want to setup a "reddit style" website on my company's intranet. I know reddit is open source but its a little overkill for what we need. We don t need karma and gold and all that stuff. Any ideas of what others have done? G+_Taylor Graham
Idk if you're looking for a communication tool or something for documentation. For pure communication, id use Slack. If you need communication in combination with project management, you should probably go with something like Atlassian's Jira. Jira is pretty hardcore IMO though. Works best when lots of people are really into it. I use DokuWiki at work for documentation. I believe users can leave comments on articles (i don't really use that feature). So if you're mostly looking for a place to keep your information, but want a little bit of collaboration ability, DokuWiki is the bees butt. G+_Kyle Boyington
Taylor Graham Thanks for the feedback. Right now there are about 150 people in a mailing list that just blast everyone when theres a question about our work. So really its a replacement for that. I want people to be able to post questions/announcements and people to be able to reply. We have like a Media Wiki for general information.
