G+_Brian Drake
Hey, can anyone recommend a podcatcher that works on iOS 6.5 (I can't upgrade to iOS 7)? Apple's recent changes have been driving me nuts, since podcasts don't download properly or refuse to acknowledge that I have listened to them, even though I manually tell it (repeatedly), that I've listened to the episode. I absolutely NEED one that allows me to control when the podcasts download, because like Iyaz, I use a mifi hotspot for my cell service, and if it downloads randomly, then I risk blowing through my data cap. I'd like one that keeps the podcasts in alphabetical order, and is easy to add podcasts that aren't found in whatever listing the app is using. Thanks. G+_Edward Hinkel
Have you tried Stitcher?
G+_Brian Drake
Tried Stitcher and didn't like it, but it has been a while and I don't remember what it was I didn't like about it.
G+_Brian Drake
Just checked Stitcher and there doesn't seem to be a good way to block it from downloading podcasts in the background when I don't want it to download. I listen to 60+ hours of podcasts a week, I CANNOT afford to have it downloading stuff when I'm connected to my mifi.
G+_Allen Bryant
Downcast is by far the best with the most control. If wish it would be ported to android.

G+_Will Pherigo
The podcast app worked fine for me in ios6.x. I could be wrong but before I upgraded to 7, I am pretty sure I could tell it to only keep 1 podcast. You could also manage your podcasts from your computer and download them to your iOS device manually.
G+_Brian Drake
Its gone all screwy, for some reason. Not deleting podcasts that I've listened to, downloading a podcast in iTunes, but not copying it over when I plug my iPod in and tell it to sync, randomly scrambling the order the podcasts are in, even though I made no changes to the settings or added or deleted podcasts. I wiped the iPod and did a restore, but that only made things worse. Apple must have pushed out some updates in the background that either changed the app or changed iOS 6.5, because it didn't act this way until recently. G+_Steve T
I was having problems with podcasts on a Touch. Deleted the app and re downloaded. Now it works, and it re added all the podcast's I had before...
G+_Brian Drake
I tried that, but it didn't fix things for some reason. I am loving Downcast, however. Apple should just buy them and make it the default app.
