G+_Robin Wilkinson
Great episode on wireless audio, guys. I've got an idea for another one along the same lines but simpler. I've got a large sound system in my living room connected to a Pc, and frequently listen from the kitchen or other rooms. I'd basically like to use an ipad as a remote for browsing my library instead of having to go back to the computer every time to change songs or volume. It would be neat at parties to have the ipad just floating around the room with the guests picking the next songs. I've used Teamviewer, but it's a bit cumbersome for this sort of thing. I think there are better solutions out there, and I think exploring them would make for a good show. Cheers!
G+_Jim Rodgers
Robin, if you load XBMC on your PC in your Living room you could Airplay the music from the iPad to the PC
G+_Robin Wilkinson
Thanks, for the advice Jim. The library resides on the PC, (or NAS, actually) not the ipad.
G+_Colin Nelson
Xbmc can be controlled via a web portal or an iPad app. I do something similar already using a raspberry pi running xbmc and connecting to my pc that hosts the library and I control it via my iPad!
