G+_Vincent Panico
OK I have a old Toshiba M115 and just one day the screen went blank. everything is running just with a blank screen. at the time I had this laptop I had the screen open all the time. best-buy and a local repair guy told me it was the motherboard, so I went to eBay and got a new MB for it still getting the same thing. I still today believe its the the monitor and not the MB. please let me know what you think it is. Thanks
G+_Roger Joiner
Load up a linux live disk......it might just be a bad driver.......if all else fails you could make it into a headless server
G+_Vincent Panico
Think I found the issue for the black screen. http://www.screentekinc.com/do-i-need-a-screen.shtml
G+_james robinson (radiati
Probably the backlight. Take it to a bright lit room and look closely. You should be able to make out the image on screen.
G+_Timothy Hamlett
REALLY DUMB CALL BY BEST BUY. It is most definitely the screen itself, which shouldn't be that hard to replace. Maybe we need a show segment on replacing laptop screens.

G+_Al Perez
I suspect it's display related problem (wires, monitor, etc.)
