G+_Alex Ford
I have a project I am working on for my 2008 sierra 3500 and I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that might have 3D scans/printer files for some of the plastic bits? Really looking for a scan/file for the overhead console (non sunroof) before I cut mine up. I want to create a attachment for a pi and touchscreen to run Android auto on and have a hole for cables to run though.
G+_Mike Royal
Might be easier to get one from the junkyard. Www.car-part.com

G+_Mike Royal
Alex Ford just thought I would throw it out there. They also have entertainment options
G+_Alex Ford
For a WT trim level this thing is maxed out. It has a rear seat DVD entertainment system. the sunroof if the only option it does not have. Getting Android auto into it with a new head unit was close to $4k. so far I am less than $200 in it for the pi and touch screen.
G+_Patrick Godbey
Alex Ford I've been down this road before hole with a pi headunit. Consider an older Android tablet instead. Built-in screen, battery, charging, shutdown, and you don't have to worry about startup/shutdown delays. I use a Nexus 9 in my car, saved a ton of time not cutting/mounting hardware, which makes removing it a breeze.
G+_Alex Ford
Patrick Godbey Looks good but I want it up in the console so it is out of the way of the current in dash radio and a soon to be installed CB and "company" radio. I will just have to hack up my current one and go find a replacement in a junkyard later.
