G+_Jay Caracciolo
I currently have the HTC One M9. I may trade it up to a Nexus 6p, but can anyone tell me, does the 6p have the Ok Google hotword available when on standby? The same way the iPhone 6S has the Hey Siri feature when the screen is inactive? Do any other current Android phones that are likely to get or already have Marshmallow offer this feature? Thanks. G+_Jeff Faulkner
Moto X has had that feature forever.
G+_Nasser Yousef
I second this question
G+_James Chao
The 5X has that feature even with the screen off, so I'm pretty sure 6P does too.
G+_Mitchell Toland Jr.
Yeah the Moto X has had this since 2013, and the Nexus 6 (2014), Nexus 5X, and Nexus 6P all have it.
G+_Jose C Martinez
Most phones support this feature. You have to turn it on in the Google Settings.
G+_Robert Gauld
My 6P has the option, go in to settings from now and turn it on.
G+_Jay Caracciolo
Yes of course, I forgot about the Moto X. Not really current device though. Good that the 6p has it, kinda confirms my decision to give that a punt. Thanks.
G+_Jeff Faulkner
Moto X Pure Edition is as current as it gets.
G+_Jay Caracciolo
Sure, I was referring to the original Moto X of course. I think we only get the Play Edition in the UK? May be wrong but will probably run with the 6p anyway. Cheers.
G+_Neil McDonald
I've found it to be a bit buggy on the 6P since the last update to the Google app. I have to occasionally turn the hotword detection off and on to get it working again. G+_Josh Frye
Wish you could mail me the M9 but I am on the other side of the pond anyway.
G+_Tyler Ahlfeldt
I have the 6P, if your phone has passcode enabled it tells me I need to unlock the phone before it will do the command. Before people ask, yes I turned on secure voice to bypass this but it still doesn't always work.?
