Show me some hardware already!

Richard Harkness My main issue is that I refuse to beg for an invite. I'm happy to give every company a chance, if I can readily purchase their phone. I've reviewed budget phones from Alcatel, ASUS, Huawei, and I'll probably have an Oppo R7 at some point. The difference in these devices and the OnePlus 2 is that I can readily give the company my money and get a phone. I also think the bashing OnePlus received as a company is fair, even if it has become fairly commonplace to do so. If a company like Samsung or Apple did the things OnePlus does, their stock would plummet and they'd be mocked publicly in every media outlet as well.

As a writer, I don't have a choice but to cover it, as many people are interested in this phone. On the same hand, I think everyone is entitled to voice their opinion while covering the stories, that is the only thing that makes one blog stand out from the other. My opinion is certainly with the majority of other tech writers here, but that is not always the case. I had several nice things to say about the HTC One M9, despite most people hating it. At the end of the day I always like to give my honest opinion, I don't intend to sound like I'm bashing any one company, or not giving them a chance. If OnePlus lets me buy a phone, without doing any tricks, I'll give them another shot!  Also, if an invite happens to fall into my lap, that would be fine too, but begging isn't my style.

Richard Harkness it's not just the marketing - there's also the touchscreen issues, missing the Lollipop promises badly, the disputes with Cyanogen, and the issues people had with repairs just to name a few. These are the main reasons why I've soured on Oneplus. I haven't even upgraded to Lollipop based on all the negative posts I've seen about it.
