G+_Greg M
If its a desktop computer you can also use a PCI network card.like these http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&N=-1&isNodeId=1&Description=network+card&x=-1137&y=-112 would also work. You could maybe even get a used card from a local computer shop real cheap. Just make sure to unplug power to the desktop unit before installing it. G+_Greg M
One thing though you may need to install a network driver for the device to function properly. Usually those are available on the manufacturer's website if they are a well known brand name.

G+_Vincent Tompkins
K R Beware some 10/100 USB adapter use USB 1.1 which is 11mb/s make sure it is USB 2.0. If it doesn't say don't buy. I use the TrendNet unit that Radio Shack sells with my laptop. Bonus Linux recognizes it also.
