G+_victor Truong
I've got a work laptop with a 128GB SSD and i need a little more room because my google drive folder is starting to get too big. I want to put the google drive sync folder on a 64GB SD card that i plan on leaving in there permanently but can't seem to get it to work. I have the SD card mounted and my dropbox folder will sync there but drive still won't. Anyone have any ideas on how to get the drive sync folder onto the SD card? Thanks. G+_Ben Reese
Is drive just not syncing there because it knows it's removable media? You can mount a volume as a NTFS folder which might do it, otherwise you may need to use a Symbolic Link folder. ?
G+_victor Truong
Yeah it knows it's removable media but I did mount it and Dropbox worked but drive still didn't unless I'm doing something wrong.
G+_Ben Reese
Is the SD card mounted as a normal volume or as an NTFS folder?
G+_victor Truong
i went to disk management and did the "mount in the following empty NTFS folder" and pointed to a folder on c:\ trick to get dropbox to work. the actual card is still exFAT though. G+_Ben Reese
Ah, bummer! One other thing you might be able to try is a Symbolic Link (I said Dynamic Link before... That was a mistake). There are tools to do it but it can be done from command line easy enough. If the mounting thing won't work I'm not sure this will either, but probably worth a try. G+_Ben Reese
Here's another way some got it going. Not sure if it will work, but might be worth trying. https://productforums.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/drive/6seeUpsVD1s
