G+_Brent Vrieze
Good Afternoon all. I'm having a problem with WS2812B led strip. I can only get the first LED to light on any of the strips I have tried. I am just trying to get the library working right now (FastLED) using the example programs that come with FastLED. I am only using 20 LEDs on this strip right now and am powering the LED strip from the Arduino. Any thoughts?
G+_David Peach
You did define how many LEDs you were using in the code? Can you include some sample code for us?
G+_Brent Vrieze
Never mind the strip is bad I tried another one and all is well
G+_David Peach
Brent Vrieze Very good. Not that you have a bad strip, but that you found the problem. Out of curiosity, you could cut off the first couple of LEDs on the strip and then hook it up again. I wonder if the second one has a bad chip in it and it isn't passing the data further up the strip.
