This may have been asked earlier - if so, please provide me a link (thx): how well would a 4k TV work for a computer monitor?

I'm already using 3 FHD monitors (arranged horizontally) on a single laptop. Just looking to see if using a single ~40" 4k monitor would help improve my workspace. Performance requirements are pretty low (I.e., non gaming, mostly web browsing/excel/word type of stuff).

Thx in advance for feedback

I use a 32" 1080p TV as a monitor and I don't notice it but I have heard unless you get a very special TV the response time of individual pixels is a LOT slower than a real computer monitor which for light gaming and general desktop use is not a issue. youtube.com - PC Gaming on a 4K HDR TV! - LG 55SJ8500 Super UHD Nano Cell TV Is a video from a group called Hardware Canucks about it if that will help. I am sure there are other options out there. The one other little annoyance(at least on mine) is TV's do not tend to have a low power standby so each time you want to use it you will have to manually turn it on.

You're using three monitors at what resolution? 1920x1080? In that case, two of them are 3840 pixels wide, which is about 4K resolution. Therefore, three of those monitors side-by-side is 5760 pixels. A single 4K monitor is not even close.

A 4k tv at what size (60" ?) will be really huge. I sit on my couch about 10' from this 46" LCD tv running 1280x720 and it's good. If you replace your three monitors with one 4k tv, you will lose horizontal space, plus have to sit back how far?
